MATCH CANCELLED

The Friendly game against Wargrave on Sunday 10th May has been cancelled by our opposition.


FIXTURES UPDATE: 9th May 2026

The KLV ‘A’ Team fixture against Bracknell ‘A’ on Friday, 26th June is at HOME (and not away as previously listed).

FIXTURES UPDATE: 5th May 2026

The Alan Stockwell 100 Up will now be held on Saturday 30th May from 10:00am – this has moved from 5th July.

FIXTURES UPDATE: 4th May 2026

The two fixtures against Hurst previously listed as Friendly matches (3rd May and 11th July) are in fact OTL matches. The fixtures lists and Calendars have been amended.


KLV ‘B’ Team Start with a Win!

The first ever match involving out new KLV ‘B’ Team resulted in a good win over Prospect Park ‘B’. Conducted with the usual friendly competitiveness and in glorious conditions, the match ended in our favour with a score of 63-38, with wins on two rinks to Palmer Park and a draw on the third – leading to a win on points of 9-1 to the home team.

Successful Open Day

On Saturday 18th April, the Club held the annual Bowls Taster Day, the main purpose of which is to attract new members. Twenty people turned up to have a go on the green. Of these, four have signed up and five or six have expressed interest in the Introduction to Bowling Course.

2026 Fixtures

UPDATE: 20th April 2026

The KLV ‘B’ Team away match against Tilehurst ‘C’ has moved to 4th June, 13:45.

The Sawyers Mixed Pairs competition has moved to 24th May, starting at 14:00.

UPDATE: 15th April 2026

The Friendly against Crowthorne is played in GREYS.

UPDATE: 9th April 2026

At Burghfield’s request, the Friendly game on 19th April will now be held at Palmer Park (thus becoming a HOME game). Burghfield’s green has apparently been laid waste by the seven plagues and is not yet quite recovered.

UPDATE: 31st March 2026

The OTL Home fixture with Reading has now been rescheduled for Friday 28th August at 13:45.

The KLV ‘A’ Team fixtures against Reading ‘A’ have changed venues:

  • the game on 22nd May is now an AWAY game
  • that of 8th July is now a HOME game.

These changes have been automatically amended for users of the Club Google Calendars.

UPDATES: 12th March 2026

Reading OTL AWAY fixture has been rescheduled: now 16th August at 14:30. Thanks to Reading Bowls Club for accommodating our request to change dates so that the Anne Moult Trophy can be moved.

Club Competitions: the format of the games as listed in the Fixtures List has been revised by the Competitions Secretary.

2026 Fixtures

This year’s fixtures have now been published on the website – click here to start making your plans.

NEW for 2026 – Kennet League (KLV) – Palmer Park has two Teams!

Beginning this year, Palmer Park has entered two teams into the Kennet League – an ‘A‘ and a ‘B‘ team. Details of the teams will be made available soon.

The ‘A’ Team will continue to play in the KLV Central East Division 1.

The new ‘B’ Team will play in the KLV Central West Division 2.

The Club WhatsApp Group is available to all members – a good way to keep up with the very latest happenings. It’s also useful for: viewing team selections; arranging lifts to away games; markers for games; substitutes for matches in the event of being unavailable.
