This year’s President’s Day was a roaring success with a good time had by all. The sum of around £350 was raised for Club funds.
Club members were treated to a fantastic spread which they enjoyed while having a good chat.
Then it was time for the competition on the green. To start things off there was the Spider – won by Julia Crosthwaite, with the booby prize going to Jan Moore. Members then took part in a three game triples round-robin before retiring to the clubhouse for more food and drink.
Jane Hunt won the competition with the highest points difference. Thank you to Club Captain, Richard Nice for organising the games.
There then followed a poignant moment as we celebrated the outgoing President, Margaret Gearing. Margaret has been a member of the Club for more than twenty years and has been one of our most successful bowlers. Kevin Terry gave a moving speech before Margaret was presented with a gift from the Members.
