There was a great turnout for the 2024 President’s Day on Saturday 14th September. 

As a prelude to the afternoon competitions, members enjoyed an excellent buffet lunch accompanied by a huge selection of cakes and desserts. 

After lunch, we welcomed Cynthia Townley, General Manager of our sponsors, A.B. Walker.  The Club is very grateful for Walker’s continuing support.  As we gathered for a group photograph, we were able to put on show the equipment we have purchased thanks to Walkers continuing support.

The afternoon’s competition kicked off with a “Spider” followed by a “revolving door” triples competition, involving three matches of six ends each.

We were fortunate to enjoy a beautiful afternoon of  September sunshine.

The afternoon was a great success and enjoyed by all.  A useful sum of money was raised to contribute to club funds.  Thank you to Margaret Gearing, President, to Richard Nice and Janet Elgar and to everyone who contributed and helped on the day.
