We are an open and friendly club – we take bowls seriously but our goal is to keep it fun.  We like to enjoy our bowls.

Membership is open to all ages and no previous bowling experience is needed.  You may join at any time and we provide all equipment to help you get started – all you need is a pair of suitable shoes.

We offer FREE coaching (worth £30) to all first-year members.  All club competitions are open to enter and you may enter inter-club friendlies and league matches whenever you feel ready.

Full members have access to the green throughout the season (except for match days) and may arrange their own friendly “roll ups” and practice sessions. 

Members are entitled to bring up to three guests in any one day.  Full members are eligible to enter games organised at every Club Night (Mondays at 5:30pm).

We offer a choice of ways of joining the club.

Membership Categories

FULL Membership:

Access to the club facilities.  Sign-up for all club competitions and matches posted, any county competitions where qualified, and to participate in any other bowling/non bowling events throughout the calendar year at the club.

FIRST YEAR Membership:

First year membership is offered at a heavily discounted rate.  In addition to the same benefits and access that FULL Members enjoy, First Year Members are also offered free coaching (worth £30).  First Year Members will be enrolled on the next available 6-week beginners coaching course.

Individuals joining through the First Year Membership option will pay the cost of Full Membership when renewing for the second (and subsequent) years.

BEGINNERS Coaching:

As an alternative to taking out First Year Membership, you may first enrol for a 6-week beginners coaching course at the club; at a cost of £30.

If you then decide to join the club, you will pay the balance only for First Year Membership for the remainder of the calendar year.  You will then have access to the club’s facilities and to be able to sign up for all matches posted, any club/county competitions, where qualified, and to participate in other bowling/non bowling events throughout the calendar year at the club.

SOCIAL Membership:

Social Members have access to the club’s facilities and participation in all non- bowling events or all club events as a non-bowler throughout the calendar year.  Social Members are eligible to come along to Club Nights (Monday evenings at 5:30pm), although they may not bowl they may, however, enjoy the friendly games.

In addition, a Social Member may have a MAXIMIUM three bowling sessions (“roll ups”) on the green during the first year.
