Annual Presentation Lunch – 2025
The Annual Club Lunch was held on Saturday 22nd November and was enjoyed by all who attended. The venue was Sonning Golf Club who provided both an excellent setting and delicious food.
Having enjoyed a good lunch, the presentations for this year’s club competitions were made.

Candlelit Bowls
Monday evening 15th September 2025 the Club held the last event of the 2025 season – bowls by candle light. Members enjoyed hot dogs and onions with a few drinks before venturing out on to the green aided only by candles (LED) to mark out the rinks. Torches were needed to guide the bowlers on to the jack! Many thanks to Ken Oakley for organising things.
President’s Day 2025
Club Members enjoyed good food, drink and good competition on our annual President’s Day. We also took the opportunity to thank outgoing President, Margaret Gearing for more than twenty years of membership, a successful bowling career and an amazing contribution to the Club.

Congratulations to Bracknell ‘A’ on winning the league!

Palmer Park Team Wins the Millennium Cup!
On Friday evening, 1st August 2025, our Club team won the Millennium Cup. Held at Reading Bowls Club, teams from local clubs compete in two divisions, each team (a triple) plays the other teams in the division in a round robin. The winners of each division then play a final consisting of five ends. The Palmer Park team played Tilehurst, Hurst, Pangbourne and an OTL team in their division. The team won three matches and drew one to accumulate seven points out of a possible eight. They met Henley in the final and won by one shot.
Congratulations to the team of Alistair Todd, Eric Lavine and Margaret Gearing.
