We are a lawn bowls club in the centre of busy Palmer Park – prominent between the café and the leisure centre.  We have around 50 members from all walks of life – plus their dependents and friends. 

During the season we play multiple matches against 17 other local clubs from as far afield as Windsor, Maidenhead and Wokingham.  Home and away, these matches bring anything between 250-500 or more additional people into contact with the Club.

We are also active with local community groups, hosting events at our club.  The health and well-being benefits offered by lawn bowls have been recognised by Reading Council and other groups.

If you were to support us or one of our projects, we can offer a range of benefits to promote your involvement, depending on your needs and level of contribution – promoting your name and details to our members, visitors and passersby:

How Your Sponsorship Can Help

Your help will contribute to the cost of maintaining our superb community facility at the heart of one of Reading’s most loved recreation sites.  In addition to the ongoing costs of maintaining our clubhouse and green, we have several improvement projects under consideration:

• Construction of a new all-weather gazebo for spectators
• Installation of heating and energy efficient lighting in the clubhouse for winter social events
• Installation of solar panels – a green way to help reduce our bills.
