East Reading Festival

Sunday 17th June

Once again the club is proud to have joined with other organisations to be a part of the Festival. As well as the ‘Guess the weight of the Bowl’ , attracting many entries, this year we introduced people to the game of Bowls using the uneven grass behind the stall. It worked!  Several people will be coming along to Try Bowls at the club.

They will be given temporary memberships to enable them to have a go at bowls before committing themselves to any expense. All of the equipment is provided and new players can take their time to become familiar with the game as well as experiencing being a part of our friendly club.

It was great to be involved in this community event once again with the added benefit of being able to point to the clubhouse and green at the heart of Palmer Park.
